What is an impact report?

An impact report is the annual story of the difference your organisation made — told honestly, evidenced properly, and written well enough that people actually read it.

Most impact reports are marketing in a nicer typeface: rounded-up numbers, stock photography, no tension.

We fact-check every claim against your verified data, build the report around a story rather than a metrics dump, and design it to be read cover to cover. It's the document you can put in front of a journalist, an investor or your own team without flinching.

What makes ours different.

Same brief, different standard. This is what a Truth impact report does that a templated one doesn't.

Narrative-led

Written, not assembled

Written as a narrative — with a thread, not just sections. Or we design it for your website as an infographic.

Fact-checked

Every claim

Each number traced to verified data. Nothing rounded up, nothing unsupported.

Data visualisation

Show, don't tell

Charts that make a point, not decoration — designed to be understood at a glance.

B Impact alignment

Joined up

Structured to reinforce your B Corp and ESG narrative, not contradict it.

Stakeholder voice

Real quotes

The people you affect, in their own words — gathered and verified properly.

Designed to be read

A document that earns attention rather than demanding it.

Frequently asked.

What data do you need?

Whatever you've got, in whatever state. Ideally verified figures — a carbon baseline, ESG metrics, programme outcomes — but part of our job is working out what's solid enough to publish and flagging what isn't.

Is design included?

Yes. You can take a designed, print- and web-ready report, or just the fact-checked editorial content for your own studio to lay out. Your call.

Do we need this if we're a B Corp?

An impact narrative isn't mandatory for certification, but it's the most public, most quotable expression of everything the certification represents — and it reuses much of the same verified data.

How long should it be?

As long as the story needs and no longer. We optimise for being read end to end, which usually means tighter than the brief expects.

Can you do it every year?

Yes — and year two is easier. We keep the structure and the evidence trail so each annual report builds on the last rather than starting cold.
